A house in the Baq3a refugee camp was burnt down on October 28th. The father works on a ka3k trolley and earns 3-4 JD’s a day. Meanwhile, his wife is deaf and has 9 children, 2 of whom are twin toddlers. The Action Committee is trying to collect necessary items for them, such as mattresses, blankets, clothes and just about anything you have to spare. The committee will be visiting the family on Wednesday October 31st Friday, November 2nd, to give them all the items.
If you have anything you’d like to spare for them, you can contact Sara Al-Sharif:
Email: sarsoura@go.com.jo
Join the Action Committee’s Facebook group for more information and updates.
UPDATE: If you want to drop anything up as a donation, you can do so at Safeway Shmisani on Thursday, November 1st @ 6pm. The Action Committee will be going to the camp the next day.
If you don’t have the means to drop things off at this collection point, then contact Sara and the committee will pick it up for you.

Is there anywhere we can send donations? That would be helpful (an address maybe?)
Thanks for bringing this to our attention
Q: contact sara via email and she’ll give you the information you might need.
May Allah bless those who help others, when they need it badly, thnx Nas
That is terrible! I’m so sorry to hear that. I pray these people get the help they need.
I’m an American and I have a few questions that I would be grateful if you could help me with. I thought Palestinians in Jordan had been granted citizenship in the country. What is the history of this refugee camp? Were these people not granted citizenship and if so then why not?
Thanks Nas; Good cause, its really worth posting about.
I will post about it to spread the word.
Thanks again.
Speaking of helping. I have information about a job training program which is being offered for 50 young men from the ages of 10th grade until 21 years old. They are looking for orphans preferably but would take any underpriviledged men. This program usually costs 500 jd, but is being donated by some big names here in Jordan. Maybe Sara knows someone for this or Naseem. The interviews are on Saturday. I have the contact phone numbers and emails. Please let me know if you can think of some men who could benefit.
Mary: this article might help you out:

Um Omar: I’ll pass the information on. thanks 🙂
9 kids? Mashallah, but is number this reasonable for someone who earns 4 JD a day (or for anyone actually)? Too bad im not in Jordan because probably some contraceptives and family planning info would probably be a good (longer term) donation!
I was emailing with Sara and got some emails back, seems there was a problem with my email. How will I find you at the Safeway? Does 6pm mean 6pm ? 🙂 How long will you be at the Safeway? Thanks.
Yes! Michon, I emailed Sara as well, and it came back as a failure notice and I have some large items that I want picked up and the clock is ticking for that to happen before Friday. Any help here? Thanks.
they will be in a pickup truck outside the lotus hotel, which is at the main gates of that particular safeway.
if email isn’t working…call sara at 079 515 44 98
