Last night the Amman Symphony Orchestra performed its first concert for the 2007-2008 season. Josep Vincent of Spain was the guest conductor with 22 year-old piano virtuoso, Lulu Yang of China on piano. The concert was pretty phenomenal as it was my first time seeing the Amman Symphony Orchestra play. My favorite pieces included the opening Hungarian dance no. 10 and the final pieces of Astor Piazzolla. Here’s a short video clip, and if you can spot her, blogger Hind Sabanekh was playing trumpet in the back row, far left…
i really wanted to go to this performance but unfortunately i was helping my brother move!
i hope i’ll be able to go to their next one!
Do they have a web site? I am so glad to know there is a symphony orchestra in Amman!
I would also like to know the website for the Amman Symphony Orchestra.
Does anybody know?
Leif
