Russell Peters has to be one of the funniest comedians on the planet, at least in my book. Not a lot of people have heard about him but all comedians fly under the radar until they move to Hollywood and get their big break. He’s Canadian so a lot of his material is based on addressing issues in a multi-cultural society so a lot of people can relate to it but others can’t. I saw him perform in Toronto about 2 years ago and his story about “Ryan” is his signature and people (especially here in Canada) will go crazy when he mentions him, usually in an encore. Growing up here I can tell you that I went through the same thing but (ironically) the white kid I knew was “Brian”, and (thank God) I had the sense of realising there was a difference between the relationship a white kid has with his family and the relationship an Arab kid has with his own family or I would’ve gotten a hurt real bad.
This video is part 4 of his special, which is my favorite, but you can also watch part 1, 2, and 3
[might take a while to load but it’s well worth the good laugh]
Hilarious! Number 2 and 3 are winners, as well. Thanks for sharing.
Dave, no problem man
I can’t believe how much I cracked up just now. As someone born to immigrant parents in Canada, it brought back a lot of funny childhood memories. It also made me more anxious about my upcoming visit to Montreal this July.
Thanks!
i hvae the whole thing it’s awesome i’ve been looking for more of his material online for the past year and i just cant find anymore!!
