I am against the death penalty, so I always feel sad when I read such news reports. Have we really taught anyone that killing is wrong by implementing this?
This is the first time that Jordan actually performs deatl penalty against ultra-terrorists convicted of murder. In the past cases the convicts would spend a life sentence and maybe get relaesed. It seems this is a new chapter in which the stet of Jordan must show that it is tough and will not soften in its war against terrorism especially after the continuous targeting of Jordan by Islamic fundamentalists. Personally I am a supporter of the death penalty for all killers, especially terrorists.

I am sorry if this comments is sent twice, I was not sure the first submission made it.
Batir, i know that those convicted of bombing late HAzza3 el Majali’s office in the 1960s were executed, the fiur of them, in public. They were not “Islamists” but they were terrorists i would say although that term was not used very commonly then, but the action was similar.
i definitely support this act by Jordan. It’s about time that we showed the terrorists that yes we are willing to act upon our decisions. and that would be the fate of the rest of those who try to attack our country. it will teach them a lesson hopefully. in the new era of terrorism against Jordan those two are the first to be executed. Hopefully Jayousi and his gang will follow and the grand finale will be that slaughter woman sajida.
The information that ‘hareega’ mentioned about the late Haza3 Majalis assasins is true. they were hung publicly. although then they were not dubbed as terrorists. However, the people who assasinated the late Wasfi Al-Tal were never extradited to Jordan although there were many requets, and were sentenced to 9 months in an egyptian jail.
