What began as a blog back in 2005 is today an English-language blogazine addressing Jordanian issues, ranging from the social to the political, and cultural. The Black Iris seeks to chronicle the ups and downs of the nation’s evolution, and shine a spotlight on the stories that slip through the cracks. It aims to bring together contributions that offer fresh perspectives of a country in turbulent times, and to tell the stories of the young people inspiring change.
