GETTY PICTURES – Father of Jordanian Mahmoud Mahdi Zeidan, a Taliban fighter killed by US in Waziristan, looks on at the family’s home in Irbid Camp for Palestinian Refugees, on January 11, 2010 in Irbid, Jordan. Zeidan was a spiritual leader as well as a fighter with the Taliban and was killed whilst on an American militarty operation.
According to published report in AlGhad newspaper, during the recent telephone conversation he had with his family he told them to ask God to make him a martyr.
It appears that God answered their prayor; he did become martyr few days later.
Good riddance.
I second Khalid.. I also don’t see a contrast, all I see is a Machiavellian behavior..

No contrast, really. Dad is just a clever guy. Knows which way the wind is blowing, etc.
