It seems Ramadan is on Thursday! So, to all the readers of The Black Iris, Ramadan Mubarak to you and your families! May Allah (swt) accept your fasting!
I have a few interesting posts on Ramadan coming out both on this blog and on 7iber, so watch out for them this month!
p.s. easy on the qatayef!
p.p.s most exclamation marks I’ve ever used in my life!
The month of fasting has come,
the Emperor’s banner has arrived,
withhold your hand from food,
the spirit’s table
Ramadan Mubarak to you and yours!
Happy Ramadan Nass..
Exclamation marks are cool man, so are smileys (still haven’t figured out the plural sense for smileys).
Happy Ramadan man.
God bless you and your family this Ramadan, Nas. Look forward to your posts! Hey, I LOVE it when you use exclamation marks!!
Happy and Blessed Ramadan to you too Nas!!!!!!!111one. 😛
ramadan kareem to u and your family! i really miss Ramadan in Jordan with all the tv programs and qatayef! enjoy 🙂
ramadan kareem to all of you.
i really look forward for Ramadan this year I don’t know y but I’m
enshalh we all enjoy it
thanks and ramadan kareem to you all! 🙂
Same goes to you and your family.
And why easy on the katayef ????? Mafi hon katayef 🙁 so I am going to gorge out every chance I get 😀
Ramadan Kareem, Nas!
7aki: you’re in Canada if I remember correctly? your best replacement for qatayef are the frozen pancakes they sell next to the eggos.
thats straight out of the jordanian-muslim-starving-nostalgic-undergrad handbook…
i wrote it
Nas: So you defrost them and stuff them like you stuff the 2atayef?
But I have a better recipe than yours …. the in-laws .. hehehehe …yup, I visit them when I feel like 2tayef
and oh, can I get a signd copy of that book? … lol
I am definitely going to take it easy on the katayef, especially since Paradise Bakery in Khalda has to call the police to help control the mobs in the afternoon, and we couldn’t even get close to the place if we wanted to.
Think I might need to learn how to make my own.
