Almost Mid-September Music

People associate music with certain moments, memories, periods of time. I tend to also associate music with seasons or even specific months. I suppose it’s because seasons come with moods and moods attract certain music; the same way Metallica might not be the best option when you have a headache.

I never heard of “Jump, Little Children” until a few days ago and I think they’ve broken up, so i guess I’m late. I haven’t heard the new Killers’ album but if “When We Were Young” is any telling it looks to be a solid disc. Third Eye Blind have a ‘greatest hits’ album and I really don’t know why since they only have three albums since 1997, but c’est la vie.

Ramblings aside, these are the latest songs that are playing on the iPod that I don’t have. Check them out on The Black Iris Radio.

Cathedrals – Jump, Little Children
Mexico – Jump, Little Children
Close Your Eyes – Jump, Little Children
Open Your Eyes – Snow Patrol
You’re All I Have – Snow Patrol
When You Were Young – The Killers
Fidelity – Regina Spektor
Motorcycle Drive By – Third Eye Blind

“Get up, get out, get away from these liars
Cos they don’t get your soul or your fire
Take my hand, knot your fingers through mine
And we’ll walk from this dark room for the last time”
Open Your Eyes – Snow Patrol
