Jordan Sends Aid to Palestine

Jordan yesterday sent 400 tonnes of food aid to the West Bank and Gaza Strip for the second time in a fortnight amid reports of shortages in the cash-stra-pped Palestinian territories.

State-run Petra news agency said that 25 trucks laden with 400 tonnes of food aid worth $220, case 000 were sent to the Palestinian territories on the express orders of King Abdullah II. â??The king ordered the dispatch of the food aid in support of the Palestinian people who are suffering from a dire economic situation, medicine â? Petra said.
