The World Cup in Germany is set to become a battleground between facists and Muslims, an Italian member of a new European neo-Nazi movement warned.
In a statement published by Italian daily Repubblica, the memeber of AS Roma’s notorious ultras hooligan group claims neo-Nazis across Europe met in Braunau in Austria to plan attacks against supporters from Islamic countries during the World Cup in Germany from June 9 to July 9.
“We are united. For the first time we are talking and planning together, with the English, the Germans, the Dutch, the Spanish, everyone with the same objective. At the World Cup there will be a massacre,” said the Italian ultra.
“We will all be in Germany and there will be Turks, Algerians and Tunisians. The Turks, we can’t stand them. In our country (Italy) there are not many, but in Germany, there are many of those guys there. They are Islamic terrorists.
“We will attack them. They are all enemies that need to be eliminated, just like the police. If we make the Roman greeting (the fascist salute) they put us in prison. We will be tens of thousands. Nothing but the English are feared.” [source]
Hey Zaid, i dont have those yearbooks on me now but were you sammy’s friend (in his class)?
Yeah back in the good old days! I’ve left shortly after year 9 and have been here since, without a single visit back. Reading Jordanian blogs is pretty much the only means of ‘contact’ I have with home. Iâ??ve booked for annual leave and will be visiting this June/July. Whatâ??s been happening with you?
wow i thought you left later than that. anyways what you see on this blog is what i’ve been up to. how’s life been with you? you probably play the guitar pretty well now right?
Life’s been alright, went to a good high school, graduated with a bachelor of computer science from the state university, and now working in IBM developing/testing mainframe applications. As for playing the guitar, yeah I suppose, at least I don’t play Hotel California over and over again with Laith! Lately just been playing a few tracks from James Blunt. You must be kicking it with that bass guitar of yours by now, surely. I was just wondering, is there anything I should know before coming in to Jordan? As I know heaps has changed.
Yeah, there’s a lot more superficiality 😀
So I’ve heard!
man neo-nazis are just empty headed people, speaking empty words in their whole lot of free time. Seriously, this threat is just empty.
I doubt anything will happen. Neo-nazi groups and related organizations are sometimes dangerous, but when they do harm they usually don’t announce it beforehand.
A good example would be a train bomb in Germany a few years back that killed several Russian Jews on their way through the country. The suspected perpetrators were linked to one of the country’s neo-nazi parties – NDP. This sort of unannounced violence is the real threat from such groups.
Talk of violence at the World Cup sounds like empty bluster to me. Especially since I would imagine that security would be tight in the wake of increased awareness of terrorism these past several years.
Is that why me and my friends and everyone I know from Jordan who applied to WC tickets didn’t get any? :[
